She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Lee and Mattie Macy Welborn; her siblings, Kathleen Wells, Mary Tucker, Hallie Welborn, Ralph, Harold, Blaine and Dwight Welborn; and her sister-in-law Christine Bame.
She is survived by: her husband Howard Gray; her sons, Gregg Gray (Leigh Ann) of Jamestown and Neal Gray (Victoria) of Kernersville; her grandchildren, Andrew of Jamestown and Anna of Kernersville; her siblings, Betty Jo Bame of Elkin, R. J. Welborn of Greensboro and George Welborn of Yadkinville; and her brother-in-law Andrew Gray (Phyllis) of Colfax. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Smith Grove Baptist Church (2707 Sandy Ridge Rd, Colfax, NC 27235).
