He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer L Dean and Ruth Morgan Dean; and his sisters, Doris Dean Simpson and Barbara Dean Bull. He is survived by: his wife Dian Tucker Dean; his daughter Dede Dean Foody (Paul) of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Morgan Foody Brookman (Carter) of Charlotte and Luke D Foody of Washington, DC; and his great grandchild Collins Brookman of Charlotte.
