He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarah Brown and Thomas Elliott Harrell, Sr.; and his siblings, Fletcher Harrell, Barbara H. White and Molly H. Raines.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Faucette Harrell; his sons, Tommy Harrell (Judy) of Raleigh, Johnny Harrell (Jamee) of New Bern and Ike Harrell (Pam) of Clayton; his grandchildren, Cameron Harrell, Elliott Harrell, Matthew Harrell, Ashley Matthews, Robert Rothberg and Evan Harrell; and his great grandchildren, Jackson Orman and Ethan Matthews.
