She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Rawls and Sophie Mizelle Rawls; her husband George Astor Hughes; and her siblings, Sophie Irene Jenkins, Millie "Jane" Cullipher, Betty Blanche Lyon, Shirley Grace Meeker, Willie Ralph Rawls and Robert Harold Rawls.
She is survived by: her daughter Tempie Hughes Simons of Wilmington; her granddaughters, Megan S. Price (Jonathan) and Lindsey Simons; and her great grandchildren, Aspen Price and Elijah Price.
