He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Jackson and Jacqueline Barnhill Earley; his brother Donald Jackson Earley, Jr.; his wife Barbara Hodges Earley; his daughters, Katherine Earley of Colerain, NC and Jacqueline Earley of Cofield, NC; his grandchildren, James Proffitt and Olivia Grace Proffitt; his sisters, Susan Earley of Colerain, NC and Juanita Fleming (George) of Concord, NC; and his sister-in-law Nancy Blanton Earley of Knightdale, NC.
