He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Johnson and Dennis Johnson; and his sister Betty Jean Upchurch. He is survived by: his wife Betsy Parrish Johnson; his daughter Monica J. Thompson (Tim) of Angier, NC; and his granddaughter Emme Ann Thompson.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church.
