He was predeceased by: his mother Gladys Beasley Clevenger; his wife Patsy Clevenger; his son Marty Hockaday; and his brothers, Joe Clevenger and Pete Clevenger.
He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Clevenger (Cheryl) of Angier, Danny Hockaday (Joann) of Hampstead and Justina Wiser (Thomas) of Dunn; his sister Ann Henderson; and his niece Renee Henderson. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
