He is survived by: his wife Darlene Barbour Jernigan; his sons, Justin Jernigan (Paige) of Wilmington and Joshua Jernigan (Haley) of Erwin; his grandchildren, Grace Jernigan (Josh) and Lucas Jernigan; and his siblings, Danny Jernigan (Pam) of Lillington, Bruce Jernigan (Brenda) of Benson, Donna McLamb (Dale) of Benson and Beverly Riewestahl (Andy) of Coats. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
