He was predeceased by: his parents, David Boyd and Goldie Norris Williams; and his sister Aldine W. Jones. He is survived by: his daughters, Jatona W. Boykin (Harold) and Natasha "Tasha" Williams (James Hayes); his granddaughter Jana Beasley (Britt); his great grandchildren, Braylin and Holdyn Beasley; his sister Marie W. Weaver of Coats; and his caregiver Michelle Lamm. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
