He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Ferrell and Ruth Yvonne Moore Denton; the mother of his children Shirley Denton; and his son Kevin Denton. He is survived by: his wife Kitty Denton; his children, Matthew Denton of Raleigh, Emma Kohler (Dave) of Pennsylvania, Ricky Meeks (Dawna) of Spring Lake, Joy Scott (Harold) of Greensboro, Rhonda Jolly of Mount Holly, Beverly Gleber (Tommy) of Mount Holly and Ashlyn McMillan of Mount Holly; and his siblings, Johnny Denton of Lillington, Polly Byrd of Coats, Peggy Lee (Danny) of Lillington, Joy Norris (Mike) of Buies Creek and Jonathan Denton (Kendra) of Coats. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
