She was predeceased by: her parents, Jamie Stewart and Ruby Beasley Penny; and her sister Peggy Lynn Penny. She is survived by: her husband Billy Ray Messer; her sons, Michael Messer (Roberta) of Coats and Mickey Messer (April) of Angier; her grandchildren, Brittany Chestnut (Bradley), Courtney Barefoot (Johnathan), Ryan Messer, Morgan Messer, Macy Messer, Matthew Messer and Ally Messer; her great grandchildren, Adaleigh Chestnut and Luke Barefoot; and her brother Andy Mack Penny (Denise) of Angier.
In accordance with NC-COVID-19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing guidelines and the three W's: wait, wash, and wear a face covering.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to ones favorite charity.
