It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Johnson Thomas of Coats, North Carolina, who passed away on August 20, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Issac Johnson and Lilla Johnson Capps; her daughter Wendy Morgan; and her siblings, J. C., Jimmy, Billy Ray, Odell Johnson, Betty Helms, Rachel Lee, Bertha Prince, Melba Clifton, Madie Brown and Vera Thornton.
She is survived by: her husband Michael Harold Thomas; her children, Tammy Clevenger of Broadway, Jerry Baker (Cindy) of Dunn, Steven Baker (Marie) of Erwin and Toni Moore (Gary Minor) of Coats; her son-in-law Ed Morgan of Dunn; her grandchildren, Lilly Baker, Stephanie Fallas (Chris), Ashley Jones (Kevin), Dolores Ramirez, Christian Velasquez, Austin Parnell, Jerome Ryals and James Stephens (Beth); and her brother Bobby Johnson (Lorraine) of Dunn. She is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren.
