He was predeceased by: his parents, JT Rains and Mildred Rains; and his brother Johnny Rains. He is survived by: his wife Connie; his daughter Amy (Denise) of Lillington; his grandson Adam (Ashley) of Wilmington, NC; and his sisters, Marcia (Tommy) of Kenly, NC and Teresa (Poogie) of Pine Level, NC. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
