She was predeceased by: her parents, Garland Dupree and Annie Rose Pleasant; and her husband Marvin C. Young, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughters, Patsy Young, Rita Gardner, Sue Proctor (Tom), Rose Turlington (Steve), Kathy Young, Linda Young, Penny Mead (Bill), Jenny Underhill (Tommy) and Angel Lee (Kevin); her grandchildren, Chris Gardner, Jessica Pratt, Candace Zuckerman, Megan Proctor, Amber Upton, Patrick Stuart, Jamie Hastings, Joshua Underhill, Ashley Underhill, Chase Young (Sea) and Max Mead; her great grandchildren, Elizabeth Mangan (Lizzy), Connor Mangan, Tylee Zuckerman, Grayson Pratt and Jacob Pratt; and her sisters, Jeannetta Deal and Gale Creech.
Barbara passed following a battle with the after effects of Covid.
