He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Smith and Evie Smith; and his siblings, Ann Conner, JB and JD Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Sanderson Smith of Clyde; his son Jay Andrew Smith; his grandchildren, Jayden and Carden of Charlotte; and his siblings, Claude Smith of Haywood County, Bea Frady of Haywood County and Peggy Stiles of Haywood County.
