It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nellie Jean Dyer (Clyde, North Carolina), born in Sylva, North Carolina, who passed away on June 13, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Margie Parris Bryson and James Harley Bryson; her husband Virgil Ray Dyer; and her brothers, Gilmer, Larry and Lyndon Bryson.
She is survived by: her siblings, Madge Bryson Dempsey, Jerry, Phillip and Carrol Bryson; her children, Jeffery Dyer, Michael Dyer (Lynda), Shelbia Dyer Hyatt (David), David Dyer (Cheryl), Kenny Dyer (Debbie), Jimmy Dyer and Robert Dyer (Joyce); and her grandchildren, Brandon Dyer, Dylan Dyer, Valerie Dyer Jamison, Anthony Dyer, Vincent Hyatt, Nicholas Hyatt, Morgan Dyer, Tonya Reece and Lisa McLaughlin. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
