She was predeceased by: her father Herbert Griner; and her stepfather Reverend Samuel H. Johnston. She is survived by: her mother Frances Griner Johnston of Atlantis; her husband Michael Martin; her daughter Melinda Danner (Robert) of Charleston; her brother Steven Griner (Sally) of Lake Worth, Florida; her grandchildren, Meadow and Nicholas; her nieces, Jennifer and Sarah; and her uncle Jesus.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
