He was predeceased by: his parents, Vasar Downey Burch (VD) and Mae Stevenson Burch; his wife Alice Neal Medford Burch; and his brothers, Boyd Burch, Roy Burch, Carroll Burch (Billy) and Harold Burch (Bobby).
He is survived by: his daughter Candace "Candy" Burch Wilson (Dick) of Shelby, NC; his sister Norma Sue Burch Sellars of Canton, NC; and his sister-in-law Helen Jones Burch of Clyde, NC. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Milltown Appreciation Fund, administered by First Baptist Church of Canton in honor, support, and appreciation of all those who worked at the paper mill.
