She was predeceased by: her parents, Fletcher "Pelican" Brown and Queen Freeman Brown; and her brothers, Frank "Mickey" Brown, Robert Brown and Harlan "Buster" Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Davis (Joe) of Iron Duff and David Ferguson (Beth) of Crabtree; her grandchildren, Cara Rogers (Rodney) of Iron Duff and Andy Ferguson (Jessica) of Marion; her great grandchildren, McClain, McGuire and Walker Rogers of Iron Duff; her caregiver Joann Green; and her brothers, A. J. Brown of Lake Junaluska, R. L and Johnny Mack Brown (Barbara) of New Jersey.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church (1128 Max Patch Rd, Clyde, NC 28721). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
