He was predeceased by: his parents, Oswaldo Baez and Dolores Baez; his nephew Ozzie Labiosa; and his great-nephew Anthony Cola. He is survived by: his spouse Lynnette; his children, Joseph Nathan Baez of Canton and AmyLeigh Myers (Robert Curtis) of Clyde, NC.; his grandson Axel Rueger Curtis; and his siblings, Nellie Baez, Oswaldo Baez, Jr., Anthony Benet (Eileen), Dolores Cola (Hugo) and Elena Weinstein.
