He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Joseph and Nora Marie VanHook Spence; and his wife Haruko Spence. He is survived by: his son Robert Spence (Tammy Rostov); his grandchildren, Joshua Aaron Spence (Julia Rose Dugger) and Samantha Kay Southall (Frank); and his great grandchild Mia Ray Southall.
