He was predeceased by: his father Robert Francis Payne; and his father-in-law Thomas Smith. He is survived by: his mother Wanda Fowler Payne; his wife Christy Smith Payne; his son Clayton Payne of Clyde; his sister Michelle Sams (Matthew); his mother-in-law Martha Smith; his brother-in-law Jackie Smith (Anna); his nieces and nephews, Noah, Ethan, Rachel, Hannah, Sara and Tahli; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jonah, Jameson, Jordan, Aubriella and Alyvia. He is also survived by his boys he loved his family and his friends.
