He was predeceased by: his parents, Victry Haney and Annie Haney; his siblings, William Haney, Lewis King and Elsie Cooper; his stepfather Lloyd King; and his grandchildren, Joshua Norris and Kristie Melton.

He is survived by: his wife Lorene; his children, Mike Haney (Carolyn), Elaine Ruff (Robert), Vick Haney (Doris), Danny Haney (Jeannie) and Nancy Melton (Bill); his brother Howard King of Clyde; and his grandsons, Brad Ruff, Bryan Ruff, Matthew Haney, AJ James, Travis Ruff and Glenn Bryant. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren.
