He is survived by: his wife Kathy Messer; and his children, Steve Messer (Celest) of Clyde, Scott Messer of Asheville, Chris Messer of Burnsville and Adrienne Harris (Tim). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. And numerous family and friends.
