He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaac Luther and Emma Gentry Sutton; and his siblings, Ruth Snow, Mary Rogers, Robert, Charles, Ray and Weldon Sutton.
He is survived by: his wife Lorena Ethel Haynes Sutton; and his children, Barbara G. Kay of Asheville, Gary D. Sutton of Clyde, David L. Sutton (Donna) of Clyde, Steven T. Sutton (Linda) of Myrtle Beach and Michael E. Sutton (Kathy) of Clyde. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
