He was predeceased by: his parents, Colley Jackson Surrett and Edith Carver Surrett; his son Dougles Surrett; and his brothers, Way and Edmun Surrett.
He is survived by: his daughter Jennifer Wilson (David); his granddaughter Leiah of California; and his siblings, Vinson (Vonda), Hobert (Doris), Carmel, Curtis "Bogie" (Linda), Gerldeen Williams of Leicester, Phyllis Hudgins (Arnold) of Leicester, Jackie Sue Reemes (Everett) of Leicester and Betty Bands of Mills River. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
