He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Elmer Chambers and Fannie Mae Stevenson Chambers; his wife Bulah Smith Chambers; and his sisters, Jean Sherrill, Susie McCarson and Marybee Shehan.
He is survived by: his children, Hilda Francis (Robert) of Canton, Doris Pless (David) of Clyde and Lewis Chambers (Sandra) of Clyde; his grandchildren, Rebecca Reed (Johnny), Rachel Smith (Caleb), Jonathan Lovelace (Rachel), Pamela Greene (Roger), Michael Pless (Heather), Jeremy Chambers (Bryanna), Brad Chambers (Tina), Sabrina Hipps, Tara Pace (Greg) and Eric Scarboro; and his siblings, James "Cat" Chambers (Betty) of Clyde, Steve Chambers (Rose) and Ollie Francis of Waynesville.
