He is survived by: his wife Valerie Stanberry Kuykendall; his siblings, Vernon Kuykendall (Marion) of Colorado and Jamie Kuykendall Towe (Richard) of Waynesville; his children, William Kuykendall (Jaide) of Kings Mountain and Anna Kuykendall Smith (Matthew); and his grandchildren, Turner and Caroline Kuykendall. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
