He was predeceased by: his parents, Antoine Rivet and Dora Bissaillon Rivet; and his siblings, Clare Cunningham, Shirley Begin and Roland Rivet.

He is survived by: his wife Joan A Rivet; and his sister Mona Begin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
