She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Leroy Smith and Sadie Marie Smith; and her siblings, Edward Smith, Connie Easter, Diane Smith and Linda Outlaw.
She is survived by: her close friend Carroll Arthur; her sisters, Dottie Price and Janet Bridges of Morehead City; her children, Stefanie Beard of Canton, NC, Michael Beard of Bolivia, NC and Jeremy Beard Sr. of Monterey, TN; her daughter-in-law Natasha Beard of Monterey, TN; her grandchildren, Jessica Allen, Brandon Allen (Darlene), Jeremy Beard Jr. (Makenzie) and Sadie Beard (Dylan Whaley); and her great grandchildren, Yaura Allen, Charlotte Allen, Ellie Whaley and Colton Beard.
