She was predeceased by: her parents, Ethel Ruff and Lewis Burnette. She is survived by: her husband William Karlisle James; her children, Jacque Sherrill (Tony) and Terry Haney (Joy); her sister Brenda Robinson; her stepfather Junior Ruff; and her stepson Shawn James. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren.
