He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Herring and Olive Herring; his wife Christine Herring; his son George Herring; and his siblings, Joy Byrd, Jimmy Herring and Dwight Herring.
He is survived by: his children, Terry Herring, Ted Herring, Jr. (Lonie), Sue Gay (Hank), Judy Horine and Janet Burley (Donald); his brother Dennis Herring of Dunn; his grandchildren, Alex Fagan (Sean), Aubrea Stanley (Justin), George Herring, Olivia Pauley (Cole), Jesse Horine, Warren Gay (Michala), Amanda Horine and Britton Burley; and his great grandchildren, Casen Stanley and Ava Stanley.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 11th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Colonial Heights Freewill Baptist Church (1140 W Elizabeth St, Clinton, NC 28328). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 11th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 11th 2024 at the Grandview Memorial Gardens (2809 US-421, Clinton, NC 28328).
