With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sherwood Earl Allcox of Clinton, North Carolina, born in Beaufort, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 23, 2024 at the age of 78. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherwood Allcox and Frances Williamson Allcox. He is survived by: his wife Peggy White Allcox; his children, Gary Paul Allcox (Emily Harrison) and Melissa Allcox Ferrell (Patrick Martin Ferrell); his grandchildren, Ethan Allcox and Evelyn Terry Allcox; his stepgrandchildren, Malena Ferrell and Leah Ferrell; his siblings, Irvin Lee Allcox (Debbie Allcox) and Sherry Ann Swartout; his stepgreat-granddaughter Olive Ferrell; and his sister-in-law Kay White Turner.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the St. Pauls Episcopal Church (110 W Main St, Clinton, NC 28328).
