With solemn reverence, we commemorate Shelby Wilson of Clinton, North Carolina, whose life came to an end on November 23, 2024 at the age of 87, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Mack and Meta Sutton Darden. She is survived by: her daughters, Melanie Wilson Askew (Durwood, Jr) of Clinton and Charlene Wilson Jones (Phillip) of Clinton; her grandchildren, Maygan Smith (Justin), Bill Jordan (Katlyn), Alex Askew (Ashley), Sidney Askew, Lily Askew, Katie Hall (Caleb) and Patrick Jones; her great grandchildren, Landen, Maggie Jo, Henry, Harvey, Lawson, Thatcher and Beckett; and her siblings, Peggy Byrd (Larry) of Dunn, Dale Weeks (Gary) of Clinton, Jerry Darden of Texas and Keith Darden (Charlene) of Nags Head. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
A funeral service was held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Keener Methodist Church (6415 Keener Rd, Clinton, NC 28328). Visitation was held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Grandview Memorial Park (2809 US-421, Clinton, NC 28328).
