She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernie Thornton and Mittie Strickland Thornton; her husband Walter Lee Johnson (Hooley); and her siblings, Lula M. Parker, Louise Thornton, James Raynell, Ernest Melvin, Richard Arnold, Braston Woodrow, Robert E., Charles Elwood, Carroll and Harvey Thornton.
She is survived by: her son Tony Lee Johnson (Carol) of Clinton; her grandchildren, Lisa J. Bass (Cory) and David Lee Johnson; and her great grandchildren, Reece, Lexi, Paisley Bass, Seth, Tanner and Azlyn Johnson.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Immanuel Baptist Church (1017 Sunset Ave, Clinton, NC 28328). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
