He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Cannady and Ozelle Porter Cannady; and his siblings, Leondis Cannady, Hildred Brown, Edna Sinclair, Margaret Crumpler, Nell Honrine and Helen Barnes.
He is survived by: his wife Jewel Hudson Cannady; his children, Nathan Scott Cannady and Kelly Jewel Cannady (Billy Jackson); his grandson Carlon Scott Cannady (Brittanie Powell); his great grandchildren, Sophia Grace Bradshaw and Oaklynn Claire Cannady; and his sister-in-law Claire Allen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home (118 Fayetteville St, Clinton, NC 28328). A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N Michigan Ave. FL 17, Chicago IL 60601.
