We are sad to announce that on August 31, 2022, at the age of 71, Richard Wilkes of Clinton, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Nash Wilkes and Betty Wilkes Anders; his son Johnny Ray Wilkes; his siblings, David Wilkes, Chris Wilkes (Milton), Ricky Earl Wilkes, James Earl Wilkes and Connie Melvin; and his close friend Wardell Emanuel.
He is survived by: his significant other Sudie "Sue" Richardson; his children, John Curtis Wilkes of Clinton, Sheena Marie Wilkes of Clinton and Melissa Ann Medina of Clinton; and his siblings, Effie Tyndall of Angier and Donald Wilkes of Greensboro. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of brother and sister in laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and loving friends.
