He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Farley and Herman Taylor; his stepparents, Charles Farley and Treva Taylor; his son Randy Lee Taylor Jr.; his brother David Taylor; and his stepbrother James Anderson.

He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Dianne Taylor; his daughter Grace Miller (JD); his grandchildren, Katlin Kittrell, Harper Miller and Jaxson Miller; his siblings, Billy Taylor (Kim), Clarence Farley (Matisa) and Jenny Farley; and his stepsiblings, Kenneth Anderson (Ruthanne), Timmy Anderson (Janet) and Sandra Stallings (Larry).
