She was predeceased by: her father Charles Armel Hester. She is survived by: her mother Catherine Rebecca Thompson Hester of Clinton; her husband Jerry Strickland; her daughter Christy Lea Wood of Wilmington; her stepchildren, Candy Strickland of Georgia and Jason Woodrow Strickland of Minnesota; her brother Charles Armel Hester, Jr. of Lillington; and her grandson Anthony Wood.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Harmony Baptist Church (1357 Harmony Church Rd, Clinton, NC 28328). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
