In the vast expanse of eternity, Maddie Lee shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Maddie Lee farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She is survived by: her husband Leslie E. Williams; her daughters, Tonya Greenhill of White Plains, MD, Kimberly Swinson of Clinton, NC and Wendy Goodwin of Waldorf, MD; and her siblings, Shirley Cooper of Roseboro, NC, Brendella Smith, Glenda Chestnutt of Turkey, NC, Deborah Lapi of Salemburg, NC, Willie Powell of Alton, VA and Harry Powell of Elizabethtown, NC. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Plant Memorial. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Olivet Institutional Baptist Church (537 McKoy St, Clinton, NC 28328).
