She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Lawrence and Susan Jane Weeks Butler; her husband Haywood Claxton "Bizzel" Peterson; her daughter Patricia Sexton; and her siblings, Janie Kate Peterson and Arthur B. Butler.
She is survived by: her daughter Gloria Peterson; her brother Frank Butler of Clinton; and her grandson Lee Sexton.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Carr Memorial Fellowship Hall (9688 Hobbton Hwy, Clinton, NC 28328). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Carr Memorial Christian Church (9688 Hobbton Hwy, Clinton, NC 28328).
