She was predeceased by: her parents, Ether Myers and Maybelle Myers; her husband Linwood Vann; her son Tony Vann; her siblings, James "Jim" Myers, Walter T. "Tom" Myers, Sarah Evelyn Southerland, Lula Jackson, Nell Williamson and Dorothy Barefoot; and her granddaughter Kelly A. Hobbs.
She is survived by: her children, Linwood "Bozie" Vann and Kay V. Maynor of Clinton; her grandson Neil Hobbs (Christy) of Clinton; her great grandchildren, Brianna Reaves of Greenville, Lily and Henry Hobbs of Clinton; and her close friends, Ricky, Barbara Ricks, Ronnie, Marie Wheeler and Sharon Jernigan. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Colonial Heights Freewill Baptist Church (1140 W Elizabeth St, Clinton, NC 28328). A memorial service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
Gestures of memorial can be made by giving potted flowers or plants, or by monetary donations to the Building Fund of Colonial Heights Church in Ms. Julia's memory.
