He is survived by: his wife Hilda Faye Chestnutt Patterson; and his siblings, Betty Mae Lilley of Pinetown, N. C., Mary Jo Vanderzwalm (Richard) of Stedman, N. C. and Lynwood Patterson (Nancy) of Stedman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
