He is survived by: his wife Teresa Sumner Herring; his daughters, Anna Herring Rouse (Jared) and Sarah Herring Wach (Colin); his granddaughters, Anna James Rouse and Charlotte Rouse; his siblings, Emily Goodrich (Charlie) and Byron Herring; and his close friends, Troy Faison, Jeff and Dana Jones.
