It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Beard of Clinton, North Carolina, who passed away on October 30, 2022, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Callie Ruth Sanders; his brother Donald Ray Beard; and his nephew Joseph D. Beard. He is survived by: his wife Crystal Beard; his children, Tymiracle Brunson, Tyrek Melvin, Tyshon Oates, Tyrell Coleman and Tyrianna Smith; his brothers, Leon Beard, Edward Beard (Barbara), Joseph Beard (Angie) and Jimmy Beard (Robin); his stepsiblings, Emma Kemp, Marjorie Henry and Isaiah Sanders; his uncle Joe Tatum; his cousins, Johnnie Mae Joyner, Virginia Ann Faison, Virginia Blue (Anthony), Bridget Tatum, Sheila Tatum and Nikki Tatum; his nieces and nephews, Rashad Beard (Shanita), Jimmy Beard Jr., Lewis Woodard, Sharee Beard (Robert), Rebecca Adeniran (Gabi), Janita Beard, Leona Beard, Nikowana Beard and Odetta Bailey; his siblings-in-law, Mary Williamson (late Michael), Veronica Chance, Tokesia Underwood (Andy), Nicole Peacock (Charles Lee), Daryll Coleman and Dynasty Coleman; and his close friends, William "Bo" Underwood (Andrea) and Constance Faison. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren; as well as a host of other cousins.
