It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Cannady of Clinton, North Carolina, who passed away on April 7, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin M. Allen and Linnie Smith Allen; her spouse R. D. Cannady; her siblings, Ottis A Dabbs, Ruth A Gordon, Margaret A. Haiger, Dozier Allen, Jack Allen, Battle Allen (Bill), Ethan Allen, Laland Allen and Gene Allen; and her grandson Ross Cannady.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Allen Cannady (Yo-Yo) of Clinton and Judy L Cannady of Clayton; and her grandchildren, Allison Cannady Bailey of Clinton, Barrett Cannady of Clinton, Rebecca Cannady Simmons of Chocowinity, NC. and Zach Thornton of Clinton. She is also survived by 10 Great Grandchildren along with numerous nephews and nieces.
