He is survived by: his children, Edward Earl Carter (Sharon) of Clinton, NC and Dulcie Carter of Fayetteville, NC; his daughter-in-law Lisa Carter of Clinton, NC; his grandchildren, Patrick Carter (Lauren) of Denver, NC, Cortney Carter of Charlotte, NC, Devin Carter (Majesta), Matthew Carter (Cassie) of Clinton, NC, Aaron Simmons of Holly Springs, NC, Bradley Simmons of Oak Grove, KY and Chelsea Simmons of Cary, NC; and his siblings, Percy Carter (Farrell Rose) of Clinton, NC, Fairley Carter (Marshell) of Fayetteville, NC, Gary Carter (Ann) of Charlotte, NC and Don Carter (Loretha) of Clinton, NC.. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
