She was predeceased by: her parents, Noel Layne and Etta Layne. She is survived by: her siblings, Leon and Shirley; her husband Rev. Ralph Jernigan; her children, Lynn J. Wood (Ricky Wood) and Ralph Jernigan, Jr. (Sara); and her grandchildren, Christopher (Kellie), Jonathan (Susan), Justin Wood (Randi), Andrew Jernigan and Miriam Spalding (Travis). She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
