She was predeceased by: her parents, William Howard and Elizabeth Angalin Herring Gray; her son Haynes Edwards; and her siblings, Joann Barton and William Howard Gray, Jr..
She is survived by: her husband Frank D. Butler; her siblings, Helen Timmer of San Pandro, CA., Betty Davis of Henderson, Nevada and Farrell Gray of Zephyrhills, Florida; her stepchildren, Julie Butler Spatorico (Rob) of Fayetteville and Todd Butler (Pamela) of Leland; and her stepgranddaughters, Enya Butler and Rachel Pierce. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and close friends.
In lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made in Dot's memory to Carr Memorial Christian Church, 91 Carr Church Rd., Clinton, NC 28328, and or a charity of one's choice.
