He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Jernigan and Mary Jane Barwick Jernigan; his daughter Carol Jernigan Bryant; and his siblings, Estalene Lindsey, Christine Coble, Ludie Britt, Virginia Royal, Doris Andrews, Hubert Jernigan, Maylon Jernigan, Willie Jernigan, Audie Jernigan and Rev. Ralph Jernigan.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Bass Jernigan; and his grandchildren, Rev. Charles Ray Jernigan (Sharon), Nicholas Bryant, Crystal Omara (Patrick), Jack Gunnells (Lesa), Tyler Jernigan (Carry) and Jacob Jernigan (Elvy).
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Plainview PFWB Church (5105 Hobbton Hwy, Clinton, NC 28328).
